About Julia Steiny
Julia Steiny has won the Lawrence Epstein Playwriting Award, a John Gassner Award, a Playwrights Platform One-Act Award and a Los Angeles Drama Critics Award for Distinguished Direction. She has also been a finalist in the Shipping Dock's "Interplay" Competition, the New England New Play Festival, another year's Gassner, the Samuel French Festival Competition and the Mark Twain Masquers' Contest. Her work has been produced at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival by Wastepaper Theatre (RI), as well as by the American Theatre of Actors (NY), the Abingdon Theatre (NY), Mill Mountain Theatre (VA) and the Vineyard Playhouse (MA), among many others.
