Words and Music by Dennis Livingston

Ancient of oceans flow.
Ripples of deep time echo.
Sinuous mem’ries wake.
Shadows take flight from daybreak.

Vast Panthalassa,
mother of seas.
Dark home of monsters,
lost mysteries.

Warm feathered breezes,
black silky nights.
Drift in the dream time,
seeking first light.

White coral castles,
labyrinthine maze.
Great coiled creatures,
swim through the haze.

Fair blows the northwind,
out sweeps the tide.
Leaving exposed
small puzzles to hide.

Ancient of oceans flow.
Ripples of deep time echo.

Vast Panthalassa,
mother of seas.
Dark home of monsters,
lost mysteries.

Beasts out of nightmares, rise.
Cleave through blue waters, bright flash.
Hunter and hunted take hold.
Jaws lunging forward, quick slash.

Days without number,
years without end.
Eons of sunlight
slowly descend.
Oh oh...oh oh...oh oh...

“Panthalassa” is the one-world ocean that covered the earth in prehistoric times.
