Strollin' in the park, on a sunny Sunday, saw a pretty penny, near a tree. As I scooped it up, thought a four-leaf clover, waved a friendly petal, right at me. I picked the winning number in the lottery. My dentist said I only had one cavity. I know you can't expect a guarantee. But maybe Lady Fortune made a pledge, to give this desp'rate guy/gal a little edge, before I jump off the nearest ledge. Send me the one I love, send me the one I love. Tho I can't complain if the Weekly World News says my stars...are propitious.   And I'm surely not who you might believe is a New Age fanatic. But here's some news that makes me feel cautiously ecstatic! Hit a million points, playin' zippy pinball, caught a falling baby, as I should. Bought a piece of art, at a local auction, think that it's a Rembrandt, knock on wood. I grabbed a suit/dress at Filene's Basement, it's my size. I got a perfect score at bowling, won a prize. OK, but I keep missing one surprise. Hey, maybe Lady Fortune made a pledge, to give this des'prate guy/gal a little edge, before I jump off the nearest ledge.
