THE STORIES IN MY MIND: THE SONGS OF DENNIS LIVINGSTON (LIVE AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM)

CD front spacer Cd back
Songwriter Dennis Livingston offers jazz, deeply felt ballads, the sudden breakout of
a bossa or gospel tune in this New York cabaret revue of witty, original songs, featuring
Julie Reyburn, Scott Coulter, Kenneth Gartman, Christina Connors and Alex Goley.

Go to CDBaby to buy individual songs, the digital album or the physical CD.
Downloads are also available at iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and other online sites.

Comment by Hector Coris at CD Baby:
"I had a chance to listen to the CD in its entirety during several 45 minute trips to
my directing gig and just found myself smiling at many of the wonders in it.
Surprising and fresh lyrics, tender and crystal-clear performances from everyone
and the startlingly gorgeous arrangements. This could — and should — survive a
a stand-alone revue that could be licensed out."

spacerQUOTES FROM THE CRITICS

“BACA's first annual Songwriters Showcase features, among other composers, songs by Dennis Livingston - including the bittersweet, highly visual, almost filmic ‘A Misty Day In Istanbul’ gorgeously sung by Brian De Lorenzo."
— Beverly Creasey, Theater Mirror

"’An Ordinary Day’ details beauty and appreciation in the commonplace, with lyrics that weave a vividly visual tapestry."
— Tom Kelly, San Francisco Bay Times, reviewing Vandana Bali's show at The Plush Room (San Francisco)

“‘It’s Time For Roses’ is a captivating story song with some word choices that got my ear (I like hearing ‘zen’ and ‘Bartok’ in this tale of a well-read but isolated person finding a new love).”
— Rob Lester, TalkinBroadway.com, reviewing Lua Hadar’s “It’s About Time”
